All I get when running the program is
Access Denied.
When I click on <OK> for Access Denied
I just get a blank screen inside of Aquarium Lab.

I am running the most current version of Aquarium Lab
v 4.7.0
Fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I had it working in Windows Vista 32-bit previously
but I think it was an older version of Aquarium Lab.

Sorry about that,
It looks like none of the plugin dlls where registered with windows.
I'm not sure why this might be, I'm using Inno setup for the installation
and it should register the dlls. I'll look into it.


Can you try running the setup as an adminstrator?
Download and rick click on the setup icon and select run as an adminstrator.

Alternatively, from the command prompt (or a batch file)
run these commands (assuming you have installed the program
into c:\program files\aquariumlab\ )

regsvr32 c:\program files\AquariumLab\Data\Plugins\todo\todo.dll
regsvr32 c:\program files\AquariumLab\Data\Plugins\Inventory\Inventory.dll
regsvr32 c:\program files\AquariumLab\Data\Plugins\Conditions\Conditions.dll

Right clicking on the setup file and running as administrator worked for me!
Not sure why I needed to do that because i only have one user account
in windows 7 and it is an administrator account. But it worked...Thanks

One more question now..
How do I make my previous backup.aqu file the default file that gets loaded when
I start the program? I am able to open the backup file just fine but
whenever i restart the program it starts with the default file.

I am having a similar problem but the program runs fine in vista compatibility mode and admin rights. The other problem is that it won't accept my registration information. I tried both the primary and secondary registrations and it does not accept them. How do i register the product if there is some kind of incompatibility with windows 7?
