When you do a file, save it will save all your user data to a .aqu file. This is good way to backup your data, because this file is just a renamed zip file. The file can be extracted and the contents used to restore your data.

Nope, you lost me. I went to the ProgramFiles folder and found the AquariumLab folder, in there I find a data folder but all it has is a help folder. I don't see any *.AQU files. Where do I find the AQU file?

All the data is now in the user data folder in the user's app directory. You can access this directory by going to help, folder and user data. You can just backup this directory if you want

or

When you go to the main menu, and go file, and save as, the program will make a copy of the
user data directory, zip it, save it to a file and change the extension from zip to .aqu.
It would be easy to reverse this process, if need be, to restore your data.

Sorry but I'm still lost. I'm running XP and do not see a users folder.
